About This Product
Made from the liquid fraction of fractionated RBD palm oil, this clear, yellowish olein has an iodine value of 60.0–60.9; an anti-crystalliser can be added where the buyer or the destination's rules call for it. Slip melting point is limited to 18 °C and colour to 2.2 R in a 5.25-inch Lovibond cell; neither free fatty acid, calculated as palmitic, nor moisture and volatile matter may exceed 0.1%, and peroxide value is 1 meq O₂/kg max, all at the time of loading. An anti-crystalliser slows crystal formation when oil is kept cool, which matters for the 1 L bottles, pouches and small jerry cans among its pack options. The sheet lists sautéing, frying and general cooking as uses, and per 100 g the oil typically holds 44 g saturated, 41 g monounsaturated and 15 g polyunsaturated fatty acids, with trans fatty acids at 0 g. When an anti-crystalliser is wanted, ask which agent is used, at what level and what cold-stability result can be assured, as no cloud point is given. E319 (TBHQ) may also be added, depending on customer requirement or national regulation. Request the lot certificate, and make sure both the oil and its additives are allowed in your product and destination market.
