    Soy-Based Vegan Wax Blend

Soy-Based Vegan Wax Blend – Wax Blends product from Bio Green Wax

    About This Product

This blend is hydrogenated soybean oil, CAS 8016-70-4, formulated with a soy-derived emulsifier so that the whole system remains vegan. It melts at 48 to 52 degrees Celsius, is poured at 50 to 55 and must not be heated above 85. The emulsifier addresses the main practical limit of plain soy wax. Fragrance oils are only partly compatible with a triglyceride wax, and above a certain loading the oil separates during cooling, producing sweating on the surface, pooling in the jar and poor throw because the fragrance is no longer dispersed through the wax. An emulsifier holds the fragrance in stable dispersion through the set, which allows a higher load to be carried reliably and improves both cold and hot throw at the same dosage. It also produces a smoother, more uniform top surface with less frosting, because it interferes with the coarse crystal growth that causes it. Using a soy-derived rather than a synthetic or animal-derived emulsifier keeps the finished candle within a vegan claim. It is used in vegan container candles, jars and tins, wax melts and tarts, and in natural and high-fragrance candle ranges. Bio Green Wax supplies this blend to specification on melting point, emulsifier content, colour, fragrance load and pour window.
