Coconut-Rapeseed Wax Blend

About This Product
Coconut-rapeseed wax blend combines hydrogenated coconut oil with hydrogenated rapeseed oil, supplied as white blocks melting at 42 to 52 degrees Celsius, poured at 50 to 55, with a fragrance load of 7 to 10 percent and a ceiling of 85 degrees on heating. It was developed to answer a specific brief: coconut-level fragrance performance without soy. Coconut wax holds and releases fragrance better than any other common vegetable wax but is too soft and too costly to use alone. The obvious partner is soy, but many European makers avoid soy for supply-chain and land-use reasons and want a European-grown base, which rapeseed provides. The blend delivers a creamy, opaque container wax with strong hot and cold throw, very good glass adhesion and a smooth top surface that resists the frosting and wet spots that plain soy tends to show. Both components are fully hydrogenated, so the wax is stable and resists discolouration. It is a container wax; the melting range is too low for free-standing pillars. It is used in container and jar candles, tins, wax melts, and in natural, vegan and soy-free candle ranges. Bio Green Wax supplies coconut-rapeseed blends to specification on blend ratio, melting point, colour, fragrance load and pour window.
