Cosmetic packaging is judged on appearance before anything else, and blow moulding is where that is won or lost. The parison has to hang without drawing down before the mould closes, or the bottle comes out with uneven walls, visible thin spots and a soft feel in the hand. This compound is formulated for that melt strength and for even wall distribution, in a compostable polymer system. It is supplied FDA compliant. As with any packaging resin, compatibility with the specific formulation should be confirmed by trial: surfactants, actives, essential oils and low or high pH systems all interact with packaging differently, and a compostable polyester is not inert to everything. Supplied as a raw material for processing on your own line. We do not produce finished articles.
